What you get
A share image on every page
Every page on a site Kite builds shows a branded image when it's shared, including pages published after launch.
Custom images for the pages you share most
Kite designs images for your homepage, launches, landing pages, and posts in your brand's colors, fonts, and style.
Complete previews
Each page gets a share title and description that match its image, set so LinkedIn, Slack, X, and Facebook all display it correctly.
A list of pages missing an image
Kite's scan shows which pages would show up blank when shared and fixes them for you to approve.
Previews that keep up with your brand
When your branding changes, the default card changes with it and gets a new address, so platforms can't keep showing the old one.
How to get started
Start by telling Kite what you're seeing or what you want. You might say, "Our blog posts show up with no image on LinkedIn," or "Make a share image for our new pricing page that matches the homepage."
If Kite built your site, every page already has a share image, so the first useful step is choosing which pages deserve a custom one. Tell Kite which pages you plan to promote, and it designs an image for each. It shows you each image before it goes live, and the changes publish when you approve them.
If you're asking about a site Kite doesn't host yet, Kite can scan it and tell you which pages are missing share images. To have Kite make the fixes, import the site from its GitHub repository or move it to Kite. You can work with Kite in your browser or in Slack.
Common questions
What size should a social share image be?
Use 1,200 by 630 pixels. That shape works on LinkedIn, Facebook, X, and Slack, and it's the size of the card Kite generates for every page that doesn't have its own image. Keep important text and faces away from the edges, because each platform trims the sides or corners a little. Save the image as a PNG or JPG, and keep the file small enough to load quickly, ideally well under a megabyte.
Do I need a different share image for every page?
No. Every page needs a share image, but most pages do fine with a branded default. Spend the effort on the pages people share on purpose, such as your homepage, launches, landing pages, and blog posts you promote. On a Kite-built site, every page starts with the branded card, and you add custom images where they'll be seen most.
Can I use AI-generated images as share images?
Yes. A share image only has to look right and represent the page honestly. Kite generates and edits images using your brand's colors, fonts, and imagery. It can also build a share image from your own photos or the images already on your site, which is the better choice for pages where a real product photo or a real person matters.
Do share images help with SEO?
Share images don't change where a page ranks in Google. They change how the link looks wherever it's shared, which affects whether people click it in a LinkedIn feed, a Slack channel, or a group chat. A missing image is still worth fixing, and Kite's site scan flags it alongside other problems that affect how your pages appear in search and AI answers.
Where can I see examples of good share images?
