Product Marketing Manager, Kite
Devon Wells is the product marketing manager at Kite, the AI marketer in your Slack. His job is to help Kite explain itself to the world (which includes cosigning its content).
Devon has written about AI since 2014. He led content at Striveworks, a machine learning operations company, and at Urbint, which uses AI to predict risks to workers and infrastructure. He also served as marketing manager at Wenco, a Hitachi Construction Machinery company developing autonomous haulage and predictive analytics solutions for the mining industry.
Before that, he worked as a journalist and as an English-as-a-second-language teacher. Both jobs taught him to ask good questions and to be patient with the answers, which turns out to be incredibly valuable when working with AI agents.
He holds a B.A. Honours in English and the Product Marketing Alliance's Product Marketing Core certification. He also completed CS50x, Harvard's free online introduction to computer science.
Devon also builds software with AI coding tools. He has contributed code to Kite, and he built Ojipoji, the daily trivia game where three questions are trying to tell you something.
