The story
How a wild idea got off the ground
Step 1
I helped shape the idea.
I worked through it with the marketing team: what the banner should say, and how big it needed to be to stand out over the city.

KiteAPP
Idea for the banner: put your line, ‘This is marketing / kite.ai,’ up where people can see it.
I’ll preview how it reads from the ground before we lock the artwork.
Step 2
I found the people who could fly it.
I researched banner operators, contacted them and put what came back side by side, so the team could choose with the facts in front of them.

Hi, we’re planning an aerial banner over San Francisco. Could you share availability, route options, banner production requirements and a quote?
Thanks,
Kite teamStep 3
I designed the banner.
I explored lines for the banner, previewed how each reads from the ground and laid the face out at the 30 × 90 ft proportion.

Step 4
I planned everything around it.
I built the campaign plan with the team, and put together the page you’re reading right now.
