The sections below run from building the audience to sending campaigns, automating sequences, and reading the results. ### Build and organize your Resend audience Kite creates and updates contacts in Resend, each with an email address, a name, and any custom properties you track, such as company name or plan tier. When you hand it a qualified list, it imports the whole file from a CSV and maps the columns onto those fields, so the audience lands in Resend ready to use instead of arriving as a spreadsheet someone has to clean up. From there Kite organizes the list so a campaign reaches the right people. It groups contacts into a segment, which is the unit a broadcast sends to, and it updates a contact's topic subscriptions, so someone who only signed up for product news isn't counted in the monthly newsletter. ### Write and send broadcast campaigns A broadcast is one email sent to a whole segment, the way you send a newsletter or a launch announcement. Kite creates the broadcast, writes the subject, preview text, and body in your brand voice, and sets that copy as the email's content. Your team can still open and edit it in Resend's editor before it goes out. Kite points the broadcast at the segment you're sending to and sets the reply-to address. When the campaign is ready, it sends the broadcast or schedules it for later, and it can cancel a scheduled broadcast before the send time arrives. ### Run automated email sequences Some email shouldn't wait for a person to press send. Kite builds automations in Resend, the sequences that fire when an event happens, like a welcome series for a new contact or a re-engagement sequence for someone who has gone quiet. It defines the event that triggers the sequence, builds the steps, and can enable or disable the automation or read its recent runs to confirm it's working. A template holds the design and the variables Kite fills per recipient, so each message reads as personal, and Kite publishes the template so it's ready to send. ### Send individual and batch emails Not every message is a campaign. For a one-off note, a follow-up, or a reply to a lead, Kite sends an individual email to a named recipient with a subject, body, reply-to address, and attachments, and it can schedule the send or reschedule one that hasn't gone out yet. When a job needs many separate messages at once, Kite sends them together as a batch in a single pass. ### Measure how your email performs After a send, Kite reads how it did. It pulls delivery and engagement metrics for the account or for a single broadcast, covering messages sent, delivered, opened, clicked, bounced, complained, and unsubscribed across a date range. It ranks the links a broadcast's readers clicked most, and it lists the individual recipients behind each event, so you can see who opened, who clicked, and who bounced. Kite uses that reading to tell you what the campaign earned and to shape the next one. ### Set up your sending domain and keep your list clean Before Resend can send from your address, your sending domain has to be verified. Kite adds the domain, returns the DNS records you add at your DNS provider, and triggers verification once those records are in place. It can turn on open and click tracking for the domain so the metrics above have something to report. Kite also keeps your list healthy through the suppression list, the set of addresses Resend will never email.
